Do y'all remember the Sharpie commercial about "wr

Do y'all remember the Sharpie commercial about "writing out loud?" Well that is what I was thinking of when I took this picture.

EXCEPT. . . I was remembering it as "live out loud!" 😂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Side note: If you know me very well at all, you know that I am TERRIBLE with song lyrics and phrases/quotes. I just can't remember them correctly. And since I can't remember lyrics, I make up my own. And that friends is how you end up recording 3 original albums. But I am off on a tangent as usual. Squirrel! 😂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So back to "live out loud." I happened to be looking at my closet recently and realized that I am missing color in my clothes. And since I did a major closet overhaul with @Project333 a few months ago, I can really see how muted most of my wardrobe is.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Muted! Playing it safe. Keeping to the background. Me AND my clothes!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now if muted and neutral clothes make your heart sing, then I have a feeling you light up when you wear them! And I say go for it!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But for me, muted, neutral clothes are a symptom of what has been going on in my life for a long, long time. I haven't been hiding exactly, but I've definitely been holding myself back. Keeping to the shadows, the edges, the perimeter of the metaphorical dance floor. And bottom line, I don't want to do that anymore.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once again back to "live out loud." To me that translates as COLOR and I'm going to slowly start transforming my closet to my favs. Today, Raise A Glass to Pink! 🥂🌸✨ #pinklove

Sometimes you have to DECIDE to be brave.
🌿
Not BE brave. That's different. I'm talking about making a decision to #BeBrave when everything in you is telling you to Run. Hide. Make yourself small, invisible, basically . . . not seen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But that's not living. That's not valuing what I have been given.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That's not answering Mary Oliver's question of "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So today I am filled with fear, but I am refusing to let that stop me from Standing up. Looking up. Holding myself up.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Deciding, unequivocally, to Be Brave.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because this is what I know for sure. I will never be able to Fully Live my one wild and precious life without bravery. Never. It just won't happen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So who's with me today? Anyone out there feeling the call to Decide to Be Brave? Embody courage? Be seen?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm with you and here for you. We can do this! ❤️

P.S. Here is Mary Oliver's full poem that includes the question I mentioned above. It's called The Summer Day.

Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper, I mean-
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,
